🎃 Northfields Allotments Halloween Event – FAQs
Do I need a ticket?
Yes. Due to demand and for safety, this is a ticketed event. Children under 3 do not require a ticket.
When do tickets go on sale?
Tickets go on sale on XXX via the Northfields Allotments website. Be quick as we expect them to sell out quickly.
What are the opening times?
The Halloween event is on Saturday 31st October, from 2.30pm to 7.30pm. Tickets are timed: please enter the site during the 30-minute window shown on your ticket. This helps us manage crowd flow safely.
Do I need to arrive exactly at the time on my ticket?
No. Your ticket shows an arrival window, not a fixed start time. You can arrive any time within that 30-minute slot.
Can I get in without a ticket, or buy one on the day?
No. Entry is strictly by pre-booked ticket only (here).
How do I access the Halloween Trail?
The entrance is on Mattock Lane, via the single gate. We will add a What3Words location (///charmingly.leans.forks) and map link. Volunteers will be on hand to guide you in and direct you to the start of the trail.
Will I need to queue?
There may be a short queue at busy times. The queue will form from the access gate, back along Mattock Lane (eastward) and down Radbourne Walk. We work hard to keep things moving.
Can I bring a buggy or pram?
We strongly advise not bringing a buggy. Buggies cannot go onto the trail as the paths are unsuitable. We have a very small buggy park just inside the access gate, but items are left at your own risk. Please note: the trail exit is on Occupation Lane, so if you leave a buggy at the entrance you will need to walk back via Radbourne Walk and Mattock Lane to collect it.
What about wheelchairs
This is a working allotment site which means all our paths are narrow and uneven. Sadly they are not suitable for wheelchairs.

Do you have toilets onsite?
Yes. We have event toilets available.
Can I pay by cash or card?
Tickets are sold online in advance. On the day, any refreshments will accept cash or card.
We will have a BBQ and Bar plus tea and cake on sail.
Can I bring a bike?
No. Bikes cannot be taken onto the trail, and we do not have bike parking onsite. Please leave them at home.
How do I get there by public transport?
We’re a short walk from:
- Northfields Station (Piccadilly Line)
- West Ealing Station (Elizabeth Line)
- Bus routes on Northfield Avenue (E2, E3, E8) or Uxbridge Road (207, SL8, E7)
Follow signs or volunteers from the main gate.
Where does the money from ticket sales go?
All profits go directly to Northfields Allotments, supporting:
- Communal plot improvements
- Wildlife and habitat projects
- Maintenance of paths, trees, hedges, and shared spaces
- Community events throughout the year
- Our Future Fund, where we save 50% of event profits to help protect the site should it ever be under threat of development again
Every ticket helps keep the allotments thriving and open for the community.
This event is only possible due to the help from all our volunteers. All of those people working the Bar, BBQ, Cake Stall and Stewarding are giving up their time to volunteer at this event.
